PACT (Programmable Autonomous Contract Technology) contracts are the nervous system of the Foundation Federation. They are smart contracts sealed on Midnight that execute automatically when pre-agreed conditions are met — no email, no phone call, no intermediary.
Three Types of PACT Contract
Type 01
Micro-SOW
A single-task agreement. "Verify this identity." "Lock this exchange rate." "Confirm this flight status." Executes once, expires immediately.
Type 02
Standing SOW
A recurring relationship agreement. "Provide weekly supply chain delta signals." "Maintain my KYC passport." Active until explicitly revoked.
Type 03
Multi-Party SOW
A complex agreement involving multiple Foundation nodes. "Exchange contracts on a property purchase." All parties' signatures are Midnight-anchored.
Midnight Anchor
Every PACT contract is sealed on Midnight. Execution is automatic. Disputes are resolved by
the chain, not by lawyers. The contract is the truth.
